The Hans B. Thorelli award honors the Journal of International Marketing article that has made the most significant and long-term contribution to international marketing theory or practice.

The S. Tamer Cavusgil Award recognizes the Journal of International Marketing article published in the previous calendar year that has made the most significant contribution to the advancement of the practice of international marketing management.

During this session, authors representing both author teams will discuss their papers, providing insight into the development process. In addition, two invited scholars working in related areas in international marketing will offer their perceptions of the importance of these papers for the international marketing domain. The studies’ present and possible future impact on the field as well as potential future research building on or extending these studies will also be discussed. Audience participation is also encouraged, with a goal of stimulating future research and offering participants the opportunity to interact with the author teams and discuss their own related research projects.
