The Journal of Retailing Announces Incoming Editorial Team
The Journal of Retailing is pleased to announce its incoming editorial team. They are:
Prof. Els Breugelmans, Full Professor in Marketing at the Faculty of Economics and Business at KU Leuven (Belgium)
Prof. David Hardesty, Carol Martin Gatton Chair in Marketing and University Research Professor at the Gatton College of Business and Economics at the University of Kentucky
Prof. Anne Roggeveen, Charles Clarke Reynolds Professor of Retailing and Marketing at Babson College
We are delighted to welcome this international team of three distinguished scholars who are well-known for their research and their contributions to the Journal of Retailing. Last year, JR had over 650 submissions, and the trajectory this year is for well over 700, evidence of JR’s reputation and testament to the hard work of JR’s current and past editors, reviewers, and authors. The Journal of Retailing continues to be one of the top journals in the field of Marketing, with an impact factor among the highest of all Marketing journals.
Thanks so much to Katrijn Gielens, Professor of Marketing at Tilburg University, who since 2022 has been the editor of the Journal of Retailing. The journal has flourished under her guidance, and we are very grateful to her and extend our best wishes as she transitions to become a co-Editor of the Journal of Marketing Research.
This new Journal of Retailing editorial team will begin processing manuscripts on June 15, 2026 (including new submissions and submissions that have received one round of reviews). The current editor will handle manuscripts that have received two or more rounds of reviews until October 1, 2026. After that the new editors will assume responsibility for all manuscripts.
