We are pleased to announce theÌýSummer School in Marketing Research with PurposeÌý(Amsterdam, July 6–10, 2026).
This summer school is designed for MSc, MPhil, and PhD students, as well as postdoctoral researchers and junior faculty, who are interested in understanding how marketing and consumer behavior shape societally relevant outcomesÌýand how to develop impactful research in this domain.
The course focuses on research at the intersection of marketing and society, including domains such as sustainability, diversity and inclusion, health-related consumption, political and ideological influences on consumption, and brand activism.ÌýWe take a consumer behavior perspective and examine how marketplace actions (e.g., pricing, branding, communication) influence perceptions, decisions, and real-world behaviors.
Participants will engage with recent papers from leading marketing journals,Ìýcritically analyze their theoretical and methodological approaches, and use these insights to develop and refine their own research ideas. The course is highly interactive and particularly suited for those in the early stages of their research trajectory who want to position their work within the growing field of marketing for societal impact.
