The ÂÜÀòÉç¹ÙÍø Marketing Strategy SIG is thrilled to announce that Prof. Sebastian Hohenberg and Prof. Sarang Sunder are the co-recipients of the 2025 Varadarajan Award for Early Career Contributions to Marketing Strategy Research. A distinguished committee of three renowned scholars has acknowledged their outstanding research accomplishments as highly commendable and deserving of this prestigious award.

Prof. Hohenberg is the Professor of Marketing, Head of the Chair of Digital Transformation Research Group, and Co-Director of the Center for Business Transformation at University of Münster, School of Business & Economics. He obtained his Ph.D. in Marketing from the University of Mannheim. He previously served on the faculty of the University of Mannheim and the University of Texas at Austin. His research has been featured in various premier journals such as the Journal of Marketing, Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, and International Journal of Research in Marketing. He is also the recipient of the ÂÜÀòÉç¹ÙÍø Sales SIG Sales Excellence in Research Award in 2021 and a finalist for the Shelby D. Hunt/Harold H. Maynard Award in 2020.

Prof. Sunder holds the position of Associate Professor of Marketing at Indiana University’s of Kelley School of Business. He obtained his Ph.D. in Marketing from Georgia State University. Before joining Kelley, he previously served on the faculty of the Neeley School of Business, Texas Christian University. His research has been featured in various premier publications such as the Journal of Marketing Research, Harvard Business Review, Journal of Retailing and the Journal of International Marketing. He is also the recipient of awards such as the John Howard/ÂÜÀòÉç¹ÙÍø Doctoral Dissertation award in 2015, Mary Kay/AMS Doctoral Dissertation award in 2016 and the Don Lehmann award for best dissertation published in JM/JMR in 2017.
