The welcomes submissions for its 33th conference, hosted by Hasselt University, Belgium. The 2026 conference theme, “Marketing Beyond Borders: Resilience Routes to Regained Global Impact,” invites research that addresses the strategic, technological, and societal shifts shaping international markets and cross‑border marketing strategies.

The annual CIMaR conference maintains a small-scale format that fosters open dialogue, accessibility and an informal atmosphere. It actively bridges academic and practitioner research, and each year brings together leading international scholars alongside emerging doctoral researchers.

This years’ edition features key note speakers such as the VP Market Strategy from ASML and IKEA’s VP Marketing.

CIMaR 2026 seeks high‑quality conceptual, empirical, methodological, and managerial contributions that deepen understanding of international marketing challenges in a world characterized by geopolitical volatility, digital disruption, sustainability imperatives, and newly evolving consumer expectations. Submissions may include, but are not limited to, the following domains:

• Global marketing strategy, standardization vs. adaptation, and new market entry pathways
• Digital globalization, AI‑driven marketing, and marketing analytics in international contexts
• Sustainability, circularity, and SDG‑aligned international marketing practices
• Geopolitics, de‑globalization, and resilience in global value chains and markets
• Global branding, international consumer behavior, and cross‑cultural communication
• International sales, B2B/B2C global marketing, and marketing organization design
• International market intelligence, data governance, and ethical marketing at scale

Submission Formats 

CIMaR accepts full research papers, extended abstracts, special session proposals, doctoral colloquium submissions, and practitioner-oriented contributions. All submissions undergo double‑blind peer review. Best paper awards will be presented in multiple categories.
