Session 1

Title:ÌýThriving When We’re No Longer the “Smartest”

Speaker:ÌýDr. Michael R. (Mike) Hyman
President, Institute for Marketing Futurology and Philosophy
Distinguished Achievement Professor Emeritus, New Mexico State University

How can scholars and educators thrive in an age when artificial superintelligence (ASI) may far exceed human intelligence? In this forward-looking talk, Dr. Hyman—recognized as a marketing trailblazer and recipient of the 2025 ACME Trailblazer Award for Impactful Contributions in Marketing—shares speculative yet insightful reflections drawn from decades of research and teaching.

Organized around the classic research–pedagogy–service framework, his talk explores how marketing academics and professionals might adapt to a post-AI world:

  • Rethinking research roles as collaborators with AI/ASI
  • Redefining pedagogy in an era when machines outperform humans in tactical work
  • Reimagining service to help society navigate profound technological and ethical transformation

Dr. Hyman has published over 135 academic journal articles, 60 conference papers, and five books, with an upcoming SageÌýtextbook titled Marketing Research: Understanding Consumers and Building Brand Value.

Session 2

Title:ÌýHybrid AI–Human Distributed Teams for Marketing Research and Event Management
Speaker:ÌýDr. Wojciech Czart
Senior Lecturer, Adam Mickiewicz University (AMU), Poznań, Poland

As AI becomes an integral part of modern workflows, marketing professionals and educators are discovering new ways to integrate AI tools into collaborative environments. This session introduces a practical framework for managing AI-supported project work—from marketing campaign research and planning to class projects and event management—in hybrid AI–human teams.

Dr. Czart will share strategies for setting up AI-supported projects using GitHub, Visual Studio Code, and Google AI Studio, drawing on his experience leading OCETA Connect: AI/XR in Higher Education, a pilot of an AI-powered virtual reality conference format.

Warm regards,
