We invite proposals from doctoral students conducting research at the intersection of marketing and technology, and innovation. Multiple grants ranging from $250 to $500 will be awarded.
Program Scope
The goal of this program is to support high-potential doctoral research that explores how technology is reshaping marketing strategy and practice. While we are open to all methodological approaches, research must focus on topics related to technological innovation, digital transformation, and tech-enabled marketing. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
- Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in Marketing
- Digital Transformation and Platform Strategy
- Social Media and Influencer Marketing
- Martech and Marketing Automation
- Technology-Enabled Consumer Experience
- Performance Implications of Emerging Technologies

Submissions should be no more than 3 pages (double-spaced), excluding tables, figures, references, and appendices. Proposals should include:
- A clear research question and overview
- Theoretical framework and methodology
- Expected contributions to marketing scholarship
- A brief budget outline
Evaluation Criteria
- Alignment with TechSIG’s Mission: How well does the proposed research reflect TechSIG’s core focus on the role of technology in marketing theory and practice? Proposals should present a compelling research question grounded in marketing scholarship and clearly articulate how the study builds upon or challenges existing theories to advance understanding of how technology is reshaping marketing strategy and practice. See our mission and vision: .
- Impact of Grant Support: How will receiving this grant specifically benefit your research? Submissions should explain how the funding will support the research process (e.g., access to proprietary data, development of experimental tools, field studies with partner firms).
