2025 ISMS Early-Career Camp: Call for Applications
The INFORMS Society for Marketing Science (ISMS) is pleased to announce the 2025 ISMS Early-Career Camp, to be held at Columbia Business School (Manhattanville Campus) in New York City, October 10-11 (Friday and Saturday), 2025. This is a continuation of the two earlier events successfully held at Duke University.
The purpose of the Camp is to develop and foster a community of early-career scholars who represent the future of marketing science and ISMS. The Camp will bring together a select group of pre-tenure marketing scholars specializing in quantitative research (i.e., Camp Fellows) to not only nurture their academic careers but also help them develop an enduring social network of colleagues and mentors in their field.
Camp Fellows will have the opportunity to actively learn from one another about new research developments and hone their expertise. Equally importantly, the camp will provide a venue for Fellows to connect with thought leaders who are dedicated to helping junior faculty develop into the next generation of leaders. Participants will get to know one another more closely, exchange experiences regarding research and research resources, explore common research interests, and establish the foundation for future collaborations.
Eligibility
The Camp is open to pre-tenure (as of October 2025) academics with research agendas in the quantitative aspects (empirical and analytical) of marketing. While most will be housed in marketing departments, individuals working on quantitative marketing problems in adjacent departments/schools are also eligible. The Camp is invitation-only, and Camp Fellows from 2022 or 2023 are not eligible for the 2025 Camp. The Camp can accommodate approximately 85 Camp Fellows. We will prioritize having representation from a broad set of schools.
Nomination/Application Process
- We ask that each school coordinate internally to designate one eligible non-tenured faculty to represent your school. This step is important and expected.
- Interested candidates who are not nominated by their department can also submit applications and indicate that they are self-nominating.
- Camp Fellows either nominated by their department or self-nominating should complete an online application by themselves by June 16 (Monday), 2025, which asks for basic information as well as their research interests ( ).
- Accepted Camp Fellows will be notified by July 7 (Monday), 2025.
