Open call for proposals for hosting the 2026 Consumer Culture Theory (CCT) Conference!
The CCT conference has traditionally alternated between the continents of Europe and North America. In acknowledgement of our growing global community, the CCT Board is pleased to announce that the call for hosting the 2026 CCTCconference will be open to proposals from anywhere in the world.
If you are interested in hosting the 2026 conference, please send a pre-proposal expression of interest by email to cctexecsec@gmail.com by December 13, 2024. Full proposals are due February 14, 2024.
Pre-proposals do not need to be detailed. This initial statement should include a commitment to host (should your proposal be accepted); a discussion of logistical feasibility in terms of the conference site, etc.; and a tentative conference theme.
If you are interested in hosting, please email the CCT Executive Secretary (cctexecsec@gmail.com) if you wish access to copies of prior years’ proposals to help you with your planning.
If you have any questions or need more information, please do not hesitate to contact the CCT Executive Secretary or CCT President Hope Schau (schauh@uci.edu)
Regards,
Hope Schau (CCT President) and Giana Eckhardt (CCT Vice-President)
