The is presented annually to a world-class OR/MS/analytics university program that empowers the next generation of data-driven decision-makers and problem solvers.
Named in honor of the late UPS Chief Executive Officer who was a champion of O.R., this award was created in the spirit of strengthening ties between industry and the schools of higher education with a commitment to excellence and innovation in OR/MS/analytics.
INFORMS, with the help of the INFORMS Practice Section and the generosity of UPS, will award the prize to an academic department or program at the prestigious Edelman Gala, held during the 2025 INFORMS Analytics Conference in Indianapolis. The prize will include a trophy and a $10,000 cash award.
