We are delighted to announce the outcome of the search process for the next Editor-in-Chief for the Academy of Marketing Science Review (AMSR). After a rigorous selection process, the AMSR Search Committee and the AMS Executive Committee are thrilled to welcome the following esteemed individual to lead and uphold the journal’s reputation for excellence and innovation:
Dr. Sreedhar Madhavaram is the Marketing Alumni andÌýUnited Supermarkets, Inc.ÌýProfessor of Marketing, and currently serves as the Area Coordinator of Marketing and Supply Chain ManagementÌýin the Rawls College of Business at Texas Tech University. His work has won several awards and appeared in the Academy of Marketing Science Review, Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, Journal of Business Logistics, Journal of Retailing, Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of Business Research, Industrial Marketing Management, Journal of Advertising, Journal of Personal Selling & Sales Management, Psychology & Marketing, and other journals. A frequent presenter at national and international conferences, his research interests include marketing theory, marketing strategy, capability building, firm competitiveness, theorizing approaches, and conceptual advances in marketing.
Dr. Madhavaram brings aÌývast array of expertise, diverse perspectives, and a strong commitment to advancing the boundaries of marketing knowledge. As the next Editor-in-Chief, he will guide the direction of AMSR, ensuring the publication of pioneering research that significantly impacts marketing theory and practice.
The official transfer of responsibilities to the new Editor-in-Chief will take place on June 1, 2025. Over the coming months, the newly appointed EiC-Elect will work collaboratively with the existing editorial board and review processes to ensure the highest standards of peer review and academic rigor. His leadership will reinforce AMSR’s commitment to providing a platform for conceptual research, showcasing the most influential marketing scholarship, and nurturing the careers of upcoming researchers in the field.
As we welcome a new EiC-Elect, we wish to express our heartfelt gratitude to the current editor, Stephen L. Vargo, for his invaluable and transformative contributions during his tenure.
