2024 Marketing Strategy SIG Doctoral Student Research Awards
The Marketing Strategy Special Interest Group of the ÂÜÀòÉç¹ÙÍø is pleased to announce that it seeks proposals for competitive research grants from doctoral students whose research is focused on issues related to strategic marketing.ÌýÌýThe SIG will announce multiple grants of $750-$1000 each.
The program seeks to encourage research in the domain of marketing strategy.ÌýÌýWhile we are open to all methodological paradigms, the focus will remain on issues related to decision-making within firms concerning topics related to innovation, channels, product management, and implementation of other marketing programs.
Formatting Guidelines
All research grant proposals are to be submittedÌýas a pdf document.ÌýÌýThe amount requested should be $750-$1000 or less.
The pdf document should be structured as follows:
1.ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýStatement of Research
2.ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýResults to Date
3.ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýResearch Plan for the Future
4.ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýPotential Insights for Managerial Decision-Making
5.ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýReferences
6.ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýTables and Figures
7.ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýNeed for funding – explain in detail (itemized, if possible)
8.ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýList any other sources of funding
The submission should be no longer than 1500 words in total.ÌýÌýThe word limit does not include tables and figures, which should be included in the document.

Submission
ApplicantsÌýmustÌýbe current members of the ÂÜÀòÉç¹ÙÍø Marketing Strategy SIG or the ÂÜÀòÉç¹ÙÍø Doctoral Student SIG (DocSIG).
Please send your submission to Mahima Hada, SIG Co-Chair, by emailing the pdf document to mahima.hada@baruch.cuny.eduÌýbyÌýMonday, Jun 10, 2024, 11:59 pm ET.
The SIG leadership will review all submitted proposals and make decisions by June 15th, 2024.ÌýThe SIG’s objectives of promoting research in marketing strategy and rigor and relevance will be used to judge the proposals.
