GMSIG Excellence in Global Marketing Research Award

The Global Marketing SIG is pleased to announce that Katharina Petra Zeugner-Roth, Vesna Zabkar, and Adamantions Diamantopoulos are the winners of the 2024 Excellence in Global Marketing Research Award. Their winning article “Consumer Ethnocentrism, National Identity, and Consumer Cosmopolitanism as Drivers of Consumer Behavior: A Social Identity Theory Perspective” published in the Journal of International Marketing (2015).

The Excellence in Global Marketing Research Award recognizes an outstanding article published in a widely recognized and highly respected refereed journal that has made a significant contribution to the literature on global marketing in the previous 10 years (2014-2023). This year’s selection was made by a distinguished panel comprising past winners of the award, current and former editors/co-editors of the Journal of International Marketing, and other eminent academics appointed by the board of directors of the Global Marketing SIG. The committee members were Constantine S. Katsikeas (Leeds University Business School and Committee Chair), Robin Coulter (University of Connecticut), and Carlos Sousa (Molde University College).

The Global Marketing SIG extends its sincere gratitude to all who took the time to nominate articles for the 2024 Excellence in Global Marketing Research Award. We are especially appreciative of the hard work and dedication of the award committee in selecting the winning article.
