Announcing the New ISBM Distinguished Research Fellows and ISBM Scholars

ISBM Distinguished Research Fellows

Werner Reinartz (University of Cologne), Venky Shankar (Texas A&M University), Hari Sridhar (Texas A&M University), and Stefan Wuyts (Penn State University) have been announced as ISBM Distinguished Research Fellows. They will be inducted to the prestigious group of ISBM Fellows during the ISBM Academic Conference to be held at the Smeal College of Business at Penn State University on June 4-6, 2024.

An ISBM Distinguished Research Fellow is:

  1. A recognized senior scholar and thought leader in one or more domains of B2B marketing,
  2. Dedicated to the Institute’s mission of advancing both the theory and the practice of the discipline,
  3. Dedicated to working with practitioners, is deeply involved in B2B education, is active in field research and publication in respected journals, and
  4. Active in ISBM academic meetings, practitioner meetings and/or ISBM educational programs.

Each of our new ISBM Fellows received strong nomination letters from current Fellows, each providing detailed documentation of their qualifications. Per the Fellows Protocol, Andrew Petersen, Associate Director, appointed a selection committee, comprised of Sundar Bharadwaj (University of Georgia), Mark Houston (Texas Christian University), and Ajay Kohli (Georgia Tech University). All agreed that Werner, Venky, Hari, and Stefan excelled in all dimensions noted above and will make fine additions to the eminent group of ISBM Fellows. Congratulations, Werner, Venky, Hari, and Stefan!

ISBM Scholars

For over 30 years, ISBM has been supporting promising doctoral students who focus their dissertations on topics related to B2B marketing and identifying distinguished senior B2B marketing researchers as ISBM Distinguished Research Fellows. ISBM Scholars is a new initiative which aims to recognize strong B2B marketing scholars who have already made significant contributions to B2B marketing research, teaching, and practice but are within their first 10 years in the field after receiving their PhDs.

We would like to congratulate our inaugural class of ISBM Scholars:  Andrew Crecelius (Iowa State University), Colleen Harmeling (Florida State University), Justin Lawrence (Oklahoma State University), and Huanhuan Shi (Texas A&M University). They will be inducted as ISBM Scholars during the ISBM Academic Conference to be held at the Smeal College of Business at Penn State University on June 4-6, 2024.

Each of our ISBM Scholars have already made significant research contributions to B2B marketing research and practice and are deeply involved in teaching and mentoring the next generation of B2B researchers and practitioners. Congratulations Andrew, Colleen, Justin, and Huanhuan!
