We are delighted to announce AI at Wharton’s 2nd annual workshop on Business and Generative AI, taking place on September 5-6, 2024 at the .
Building on , the workshop will gather thought leaders and experts to network around innovative ideas and insights into the potential of Generative AI to reshape business models, industries, and global economies.  Academics, industry researchers, and practitioners from all disciplines are cordially invited to submit high-quality research (published or unpublished) that addresses the transformative role of Generative AI and industry. Submissions may offer either theoretical or empirical contributions to the understanding of the impact of Generative AI on economics and business.
Topics of interest for paper submissions include, but are not limited to:
Business Model Innovation: Exploring how Generative AI can lead to the development of novel business models and strategies, and its implications for competition, cooperation, and value creation.
Economic Growth and Development: Examining the role of Generative AI in fostering economic growth, reducing income inequality, and promoting sustainable development.
Labor Markets and Workforce Transformation: Investigating the impact of Generative AI on labor markets, workforce transformation, and the future of work, including skill requirements, job displacement, and the emergence of new job opportunities.
Finetuning and Building on Top of Foundational Models: Topics of interest include model orchestration, finetuning, Reinforcement learning from Human Feedback (RLHF), and AutoGPT applications.
Market Dynamics and Consumer Behavior: Assessing the influence of Generative AI on market dynamics, consumer preferences, consumer-brand relationships, information search, and consumption patterns, as well as the potential for personalized and targeted marketing strategies.
Policy and Regulatory Implications: Discussing the evolving role of policy and regulatory frameworks in response to the rapid adoption of Generative AI in the business landscape, including data privacy, copyright, security, and ethical considerations.
Industry Applications: Applications to a range of industries including Finance and Healthcare as well as the integration of Generative AI in supply chain management, logistics, and operations.
AI Ethics and Social Responsibility: Addressing the ethical challenges and social implications of Generative AI in business, such as algorithmic fairness, transparency, and accountability.
Consumer Well-being: Implications of Generative AI on individual wellbeing, including mental health, interpersonal relationships, trust in institutions, and concerns about existential risk.

–Â An abstract of 500-1000 words is required for submission.
– Speakers and attendees will pay the same registration fees: $195 for academics, $125 for PhD students, and $600 for industry.
