JAR Authors Showcase on the ARF Virtual Stage

Don’t miss Tuesday’s (Feb. 13 @ 12 pm ET) Insights Studio showcasing JAR authors and their recent and forthcoming work, hosted by the Advertising Research Foundation. After a brief update and introductions by Managing Editor Nanette Burns, watch the authors’ three presentations. An interactive Q&A follows, led by the ARF’s Chief Research Officer, .   • Musical Manipulation of Visual Scenes in Video, Film and TV Advertisements: A Large-Scale Investigation into the Implicit Effects of Sonic Branding (Authors presenting: and ). Forthcoming in June JAR.
    • How do music and audio effects manipulate perceptions of visuals in video, film and TV ads? Learn how audio-visual combinations can be systematically explored across both explicit and implicit modes of participant testing for advertising and brand research.

    • Autonomous sensory meridian response (ASMR) influencers who are highly visible and/or terrific at building emotional connections can make great partners for brands. Plus: eight ASMR genres that brand managers can use to determine effective collaborations.

    • Does brand activism—taking a stand on a sociopolitical issue—influence attitudes and purchase intentions, and if so, how? This work identifies a “credibility” gap between established activist brands and brands who are moving into the activist space.
