The 12th China Marketing International Conference, jointly hosted by the Chinese Scholar Marketing Association and North China University of Water Resources and Electric Power, will take place from July 4th to 8th, 2024, in Zhengzhou, Henan Province. The theme of this conference is “Exploring the Roots in Central China: Cultural Marketing and Data Intelligence Empowerment.”

This year’s conference will primarily take place in-person, with online components as supplementary. We will have the privilege of inviting esteemed editors from leading international marketing and management journals, including the Journal of Marketing, Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of Consumer Research, Marketing Science, Management Science, Strategic Management Journal, Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal, Journal of Consumer Psychology,Ìýetc. They will share insights and provide professional guidance. During the conference, we will also gather top scholars and young academics from both domestic and international backgrounds to explore the cutting-edge theories in marketing and share their latest research findings in alignment with the conference theme. Furthermore, we will invite numerous outstanding corporate executives and industry experts to share their practical experiences, fostering a collision of theory and practice, stimulating innovative thinking, and seeking fresh perspectives for marketing breakthroughs in the new era.

The China Marketing International Conference has been successfully held for eleven editions so far, with venues including China University of Mining and Technology (Xuzhou) in 2013, Huazhong University of Science and Technology (Wuhan) in 2014, Xi’an Jiaotong University (Xi’an) in 2015, China University of Petroleum (Qingdao) in 2016, the University of International Business and Economics (Beijing) in 2017, Shanghai University of Finance and Economics (Shanghai) in 2018, Baiyun International Convention Center (Guangzhou) in 2019, online conferences in 2020 and 2021, a dual format in 2022 (online and at Huazhong University of Science and Technology (Wuhan), and Sichuan University (Chengdu) in 2023. The China Marketing International Conference is making its first appearance in Henan, venturing into the hometown of the Yellow Emperor, symbolizing a journey for Chinese marketing scholars, both domestic and international, to explore their roots in the Central Plains.
