Call for Treasurer Position

American Collegiate Retailing Association (ACRA)

Dear ACRA Members and Supporters

ACRA is looking for a new treasurer starting August 2024. As per the ACRA bylaws, the Treasurer shall be a member of the Board of Directors (which is the ACRA E-board) and shall have custody of the money and securities of the corporation, shall keep regular books and accounts and shall submit them, together with all vouchers, receipts, records, and other papers to the Board of Directors for their examination as often as they may require; and shall have such other powers and perform such other duties as may be prescribed by the Board of Directors. The Treasurer shall serve for three years and can be elected to a second three-year term. The treasurer is required to be a tenured faculty. All ACRA positions are voluntary and the E-board meets monthly to discuss ACRA issues and activities.

Please submit a CV and a brief letter of interest to Archana Kumar (ACRA President) by Jan 30th 2024 indicating why you would like to serve ACRA and why you would be a good fit for the position. ACRA is a designated non-profit public charity with a 501(c)(3) status. ACRA encourages the exchange of information and the development of professional activities among members, ACRA holds annual meetings, holds workshops and industry talks, and serves as a clearing house of resources for the teaching and research of the retailing industry. ACRA also conducts two conferences:  ACRA Spring Conference is held annually to share research, teaching methods, and update retail competence of members; ACRA/ÂÜÀòÉç¹ÙÍø Triennial Conference in collaboration with the ÂÜÀòÉç¹ÙÍø to foster collaboration between retail and marketing researchers.
