The ÂÜÀòÉç¹ÙÍø Marketing Strategy SIG is delighted to announce that Professor Werner Reinartz has been awarded the prestigious 2023 Mahajan Award for Lifetime Contributions to Marketing Strategy Research.

The Mahajan Award is a testament to Professor Reinartz’s remarkable career and his substantial impact on marketing strategy research. A committee of three distinguished scholars, including accomplished researchers and former recipients of the Mahajan Award, carefully evaluated the outstanding pool of nominees. After careful consideration, they unanimously selected Professor Reinartz for this esteemed recognition.

Professor Werner Reinartz, with a Ph.D. in Marketing from the University of Houston (1999), currently holds the position of Professor of Marketing at the University of Cologne, Germany, and also serves as the Director of the Center for Research in Retailing. Prior to his current roles, he held the Cora Chaired Professorship in Retailing and Management and served as an Associate Professor of Marketing at INSEAD. Professor Werner Reinartz stands out as a prominent figure in marketing strategy, with an emphasis on pivotal inquiries on how businesses can thrive in mature markets, and the adept management of enduring, lucrative customer relationships. Notably, his extensive contributions to Customer Relationship Management (CRM) have earned him a position among top scholars worldwide.
