Our research team is currently conducting a meta-analysis on consumer embarrassment. We kindly request researchers with unpublished work (i.e., working papers, manuscripts under review, conference proceedings, articles in press or other relevant empirical studies) to consider sharing their findings with us by November 5th, 2023.
We are specifically requesting studies examining the causes and consequences of consumer embarrassment. Necessary statistics include sample sizes, effect sizes (particularly those comparing consumer embarrassment and control conditions), reliability/Cronbach alphas for manipulation checks and dependent variables, as well as fundamental study information (such as mean age, gender distribution, country of data collection, subject pool, etc.). We are not seeking original data files, however, authors who prefer to share their original data for us to derive the results are welcome to do so.
To facilitate communication and protect the double-blind review process, we have established an anonymous Gmail address where interested researchers can share the required information and ask any questions: consumerembmeta@gmail.com.
Finally, we aim to preserve the anonymity of contributing researchers, if desired, and we are happy to cite working or unpublished papers according to individual preferences.
We extend our sincere gratitude in advance for your contribution, helping us gain a comprehensive understanding of the impact of consumer embarrassment in marketing. Your diverse perspectives are invaluable to our research. Thank you!
