The meeting will be held on Thursday May 23rd, 2024, in advance of the Annual Convention of the Association for Psychological Science (APS) in San Francisco, CA (at the Hilton San Francisco Union Square). This year’s SSM annual meeting will focus on novel and debated aspects of motivation sciences. Highlights will include a Presidential Symposium on Motivation and Culture featuring Hazel Markus and Yukiko Uchida, as well as a Roundtable on Goal Systems Theory featuring Arie Kruglanski, Ruud Custers, Catalina Kopetz, and Ayelet Fishbach.
The Society for the Science of Motivation () is an international, interdisciplinary society for researchers interested in motivation (broadly defined). Its mission is to encourage inquiry into all aspects of motivation from a variety of disciplines and perspectives, and to facilitate the dissemination of findings to a broad scientific audience. The annual meeting provides a forum for the exchange of scientific information, fosters discussion of new ideas and findings on motivation, and encourages collaboration in research.
Please spread the word. We are looking forward to seeing you in San Francisco!
Sincerely, your Conference Co-Chairs,
