After observing the 2022 Fall Rookie Job Market and transition to online (Zoom) interviews, the 蹤獲扦夥厙 Academic Council sought to understand the challenges and best practices to improve the market moving forward. To do so, we surveyed 2022 job market candidates and engaged a taskforce of faculty with extensive recruiting experience. We encourage you to read the statement from the 蹤獲扦夥厙 Academic Council on following best practices for universities and job market candidates.
We will offer some opportunities for connection during the Summer 蹤獲扦夥厙 Conference:
- After registering for the conference, youll have the ability to connect with potential candidates directly through messaging in the Whova platform. Chat about a time to meet up in person or schedule a virtual call within the app.
- At the in-person event, there will be On the Market and Im Hiring ribbons to add to your lanyards to help identify potential opportunities for connection. When you attend the poster reception and competitive paper sessions, be sure to look for On the Market ribbons to see potential candidates.
- We know that many hiring institutions will have completed virtual first round interviews before Summer 蹤獲扦夥厙 and may want a chance to meet candidates in person. During the Sunday of the conference, there will be a networking space that will offer coffee and small groups of seating for you to meet!
