Consumers have demonstrated remarkable resilience in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic over the past three years. Despite unprecedented uncertainty, social isolation, and financial insecurity, they have adapted and persevered. Similarly, companies have also shown resilience by continuing to provide products and services to their customers and even flourishing in unique opportunities. This special issue focuses on how the pandemic has transformed consumers and the marketplace by exploring the concept of resilience (the ability to adapt positively in the face of significant adversity or risk), using the capital-based approach as a framework. The latest research presented in this webinar offers valuable insights into how consumers have amassed social, human, and economic capital to not only survive but also thrive during the pandemic.
