Martin Mende New Chair of the Association for Consumer Research’s TCR Advisory Committee
ACR’s TCR Advisory Committee is pleased to announce the appointment of Professor Martin Mende, to succeed Professor Brennan Davis, as the Chair of ACR’s TCR Advisory Committee.
Martin Mende is Professor of Marketing and Jim Moran Professor of Business Administration in the Rockwood School of Marketing at Florida State University’s College of Business. Martin’s research focuses on transformative consumer/service research and consumer-based strategy. His work is published in leading scholarly journals, including the Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, Journal of Consumer Psychology, Journal of Service Research, Journal of Retailing, Journal of Public Policy & Marketing, Marketing Letters, among others.
He serves as Area/Associate Editor for the Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, Journal of Public Policy and Marketing, Journal of Service Research, and Journal of Retailing, and on multiple ERBs (e.g., Journal of Marketing, Journal of Marketing Research). Martin also serves as Co-Director of the Marketing Ph.D. Program in his department. At FSU, he won college-wide and university-wide teaching awards. Martin will serve a three-year term as Chair of the TCR Advisory Committee, beginning on January 01, 2023.
Reflecting on his new role, Martin emphasized: “I am deeply grateful to Brennan for his many excellent contributions and initiatives during his tenure, among them the inaugural TCR Impact Festival hosted at Summer 2022. Brennan’s deep commitment over many years has helped position TCR as the energized and impactful community it is today, and we are all most grateful to him.” Martin noted, “because of the tireless work of the previous Chairs, dating back to the inaugural chair, David Mick, as well as the passionate members of the TCR Advisory Committee, TCR is the preeminent community at the intersection of consumer and marketing research that promotes positive individual, collective, and environmental change. I am humbled by and excited about the opportunity to work with our fabulous community to build upon this progress and help ensure that TCR continues to flourish.”
