The ÂÜÀòÉç¹ÙÍø Marketing Strategy SIG is delighted to announce that Alok Saboo is the winner of the 2022 Varadarajan Award for Early Career Contributions to Marketing Strategy Research. A three-member selection committee consisting of Neil Morgan, Vanitha Swaminathan, and Kapil Tuli found Prof. Saboo’s research accomplishments to be highly commendable and deserving of this year’s award.

Prof. Saboo earned his Ph.D. in Marketing from Pennsylvania State University in 2012. He is currently an Associate Professor of Marketing at the J. Mack Robinson College of Business, Georgia State University. His research focuses on marketing strategy, specifically on issues related to the marketing-finance interface, innovation, and analytics. Prof. Saboo’s research has been published in top academic journals, including the Journal of Marketing, Marketing Science, and Journal of Marketing Research. Prof Saboo’s research has been a finalist for the 2018 Shelby Hunt/Harold Maynard Award. His work with a doctoral student was the winner of the 2019 Donald R. Lehmann Award.
