Editorial Team: Consumer Psychology Review
The Society of Consumer Psychology is seeking nominations and applications for an Editor or a Co-Editor team for the Consumer Psychology Review editorship starting January 1, 2023.
Consumer Psychology Review (CPR) is an annual journal of the Society for Consumer Psychology (SCP), aiming to provide systematic, integrative, and thought-provoking reviews in areas of classic and contemporary import in consumer psychology. The primary goals of the journal are to (1) increase the visibility of current research in or relevant to consumer psychology, (2) serve as a foundational or primary resource for consumer psychologists, and (3) showcase critical and cutting-edge theoretical developments in consumer psychology research. All articles are invited by the editors, in consultation with the Scientific Advisory Committee.
The editorial team will serve a two or three-year term beginning January 1, 2023. Editorial responsibilities include selecting article topics, inviting authors, vetting manuscripts, and accepting articles for publication.
We encourage you to nominate potential candidates, including self-nominations. Please include the CVs of all editorial team members and a brief statement outlining potential areas that the team may be able to showcase. Candidates should have an outstanding record of scholarship in the discipline of consumer psychology and a history of active involvement in scholarly publications. The editorship is a volunteer position, but SCP provides an annual budget to support the editorial team in their stewardship of CPR.
Please submit these documents to Geeta Menon, Past-President of the Society of Consumer Psychology and Chair of the Publications Committee at nominations@myscp.org (cc gmenon@stern.nyu.edu) by September 1, 2022 with subject header “Nomination: Editor CPR.â€
