The 2022 Louis W. Stern Award Winners
The 2022 Stern Award Committee, chaired by Kersi Antia (University of Western Ontario) and including Stefan Wuyts (Pennsylvania State University) and Kenneth Henning Wathne (University of Stavanger Business School& BI Norwegian Business School), is pleased to announce that Anindita Chakravarty (University of Georgia), Alok Kumar (University of Nebraska), and Rajdeep Grewal (University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill) are the winners of the 2022 Louis W. Stern Award. Their winning article
Customer Orientation Structure for Internet-Based Business-to-Business Platform Firms was published inthe Journal of Marketing in 2014.
The judging criteria were the quality of the data, the originality of the theorizing, and the impact (citations) to date.
The committee unanimously agreed that the article is an outstanding example of novel and well executed research that has made a significant contribution to the field of inter-organizational relationship research. Specifically, the committee commented that:
We chose this article because of its substantive contributions to understanding a relatively under-researched yet important inter-organizational phenomenon, its strong application of established theoretical perspectives to this relatively new and novel two-sided domain, the rigor of its data collection, measurement, and analysis methods, and the rich theoretical and managerial implications discussed.
The Interorganizational SIG’s Louis W. Stern Award was established by Louis W. and Rhona L. Stern in 1999 through the 蹤獲扦夥厙 Foundation. The award recognizes an outstanding article published in a widely recognized and highly respected refereed journal that has made a significant contribution to the literature on marketing and channels of distribution between three and eight calendar years after publication.
