ÂÜÀòÉç¹ÙÍø IOSIG Announcement

2022 Lifetime Achievement Award

We are pleased to announce that the 2022 ÂÜÀòÉç¹ÙÍø IOSIG Lifetime Award recipient is Professor Shankar Ganesan, The John Cardinal O’Hara, C.S.C. Chair of the Marketing Department Marketing, Mendoza College of Business, University of Notre Dame, Notre Dame, Indiana.

The IO-SIG Lifetime Achievement Award Selection Committee (Shantanu Dutta, Raj Grewal, and Lisa Scheer) is pleased to name Professor Shankar Ganesan of Notre Dame University as this year’s recipient of the IO-SIG Lifetime Achievement Award. Professor Ganesan’s path-breaking and highly cited publications, including sole-authored articles in the Journal of Marketing Research and the Journal of Marketing, have contributed greatly to our knowledge regarding interorganizational relationships and have twice received the IO-SIG’s Stern Award. Few researchers in IO have more Google citations than Shankar Ganesan (over 21,000 and counting).  In addition, Professor Ganesan’s service as editor of the Journal of Retailing and his role as a mentor to doctoral students and junior faculty have also contributed to our field. The Committee thanks everyone who submitted letters in support of all nominees.

An awards reception for the past three years’ IOSIG Lifetime Achievement Award recipients Shankar Ganesan, Rajdeep Grewal, and Rob Palmatier will be held at the Summer ÂÜÀòÉç¹ÙÍø Conference on Saturday, August 13th, from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM.  The IOSIG is grateful to the Journal of Inter-Organizational Relationships for its sponsorship of the awards reception.
