In the new digital and intelligent industrial revolution, Metaverse will change the organization and operation of existing society and reframe people’s understanding of the future by combining the virtual and the real world. Given the huge incremental space for marketing of the Industrial Metaverse, it is critical for firms to consider how to keep up with the trend to define marketing in the Metaverse era, achieve iterative innovation in content and marketing, be a frontrunner on a totally new track, and thus achieve sustainable growth. In such an era, academia is also facing challenges. It is of great significance for the development of academia, corporate, and society to explore in-depth the Industrial Metaverse, Digital and Intelligent Marketing, Digital Transformation of Corporate, and Innovative Strategy, to further promote international academic cooperation and exchanges, facilitate corporate marketing reform, and pursue industry-education-research partnership.
Organized by Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Chinese Scholars Marketing Association, University of California, Riverside, and Loyola Marymount University, the 10th China Marketing International Conference will be held July 27-30, 2022 in Wuhan, China. The theme is“Marketing Innovation and Breakthrough in the Metaverse Era”. Hundreds of marketing scholars and business elites from domestic and overseas will attend the conference, aiming to build a high-standard international exchange platform for multi-interaction between academia and industry. Through discussing the domestic and global economic situations, changes in the international market, and development of the Chinese market, the conference promotes technological innovation and assists with world brand development.
This conference will be held in a hybrid format (online & offline). Many editors-in-chief and associate editors from top international journals on marketing and management (Journal of Marketing, Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of Consumer Research, Marketing Science, Management Science, Strategic Management Journal, Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal, Journal of Consumer Psychology, etc.) will share their research wisdom and provide professional guidance. Top brains and young scholars from domestic and overseas will discuss the frontiers of marketing theory and present cutting-edge research. We also have wonderful doctoral consortium and recruitment sessions. Moreover, we will invite outstanding Chinese corporate executives and industry elites to share industrial experience, realize the collision of theory and practice, inspire innovative thinking, and seek novel ideas for marketing breakthroughs in the new era.
The annual China International Marketing Conference (CMIC) has been successfully held for nine years thus far: at China University of Mining and Technology (Xuzhou) in 2013, Huazhong University of Science and Technology (Wuhan) in 2014, Xi’an Jiaotong University (Xi’an) in 2015, China University of Petroleum (Qingdao) in 2016, University of International Business and Economics (Beijing) in 2017, Shanghai University of Finance and Economics (Shanghai) in 2018, Baiyun International Convention Center (Guangzhou) in 2019, and online in 2020 and 2021.
