Professor Emeritus Jim McAlexander of Oregon State University passed away on April 18, 2022 at the age of 63. Jim helped to establish the use of ethnographic methods in marketing research with his work on subcultures of consumption and building brand communities. His lighthearted nature and enthusiasm for seeking joy in work and life will be sorely missed.
