We are delighted to announce a Symposium honouring the career of Professor Margaret K. Hogg. Margaret is a leading expert in consumer behaviour, with a long-standing interest in the relationship between identity, self and consumption. A regular and active member at the international Association for Consumer Research conference for more than 25 years, Margaret was one of the first UK academics to attend and present at these ACR conferences, paving the way for other UK-based academics. Margaret has more than sixty publications, including the leading Consumer Behaviour textbook in Europe (Solomon, Bamossy, Askegaard and Hogg) and her seminal papers in Journal of Business Research, European Journal of Marketing and Journal of Marketing Management.
During her career, Margaret has supervised fifteen PhD students through to completion, cementing her contribution to the next generation of consumer researchers. This Symposium will be a lively session with contributions from friends and colleagues from around the world.Ìý
There will be a number of guest speakers on the day, including:
- Professor Pauline Maclaran – Royal Holloway
- Dr Elfriede Penz – WU Vienna
- Dr Anuja Pradhan – University of Southern Denmark
We hope you can join us for this celebration of Margaret’s work and contribution to the field of consumer behaviour.
Kind regards
