Dear Colleagues,
The Sustainability Research Network (at University of Tennessee, Knoxville) and 蹤獲扦夥厙 Sustainable Marketing SIG invite you to attend an important webinar for sustainable marketing scholars and managers.
On Friday, January 14th from 1:00 to 2:30 pm (EST), Dr. Rebecca Reczek, Professor of Marketing and Berry Chair of New Technologies in Marketing, The Ohio State University will give a talk entitled:
Get Your Science Out of Here: When Does Invoking Science in Marketing Products Backfire
Rebecca’s extensive research on the optimal use of science-based information in consumer communications regarding innovative new products has valuable implications for researchers and practitioners who want to increase adoption of more sustainable goods and services, e.g., a significantly longer lasting, but initially more expensive new home lithium battery for photovoltaic solar power systems. In this regard, a key question that her research addresses is: “should science-based information be included in sustainable new product promotion and, if so, what is the most effective way to do this?”
Before Rebecca’s talk, Dana Alden, Jag Sheth, and Neeraj Bharadwaj will offer some brief comments. We will leave ample time to have an interesting and vibrant discussion.
