POSTING TYPE: Obituaries

The one and only Duane Lee Davis passed away on December 18, 2021. His unexpected departure from this earth began in one of his favorite places, Key West, FL.

Duane loved his wife, his cat, family, friends, ice cream, traveling, fishing, wine, and sci-fi movies. Not always in that order. He despised green veggies and slow left-lane drivers. He was known for his infectious laugh, ready smile, and for packing the best road-trip snacks.

Duane was a Professor Emeritus of Marketing at the University of Central Florida where he taught for over thirty years. A husband, friend, gardener, fisherman, captain, author, and Fullbright scholar, Duanes adventures took him across the globe. His professional journey included teaching in Germany, England, Sweden, Greece, and Portugal. Some of his most favorite travels included the Yukon, CA; St Petersburgh, RU; Barcelona, ESP; Italy; Breckinridge, and the Grand Canyon. Duane is survived by his loving wife and adventure partner, Colleen; mother, Gladys; brother, Daryl (Kathy); sisters Cheryl (Gary), Vanessa, Becky (Robert); Lucy (the cat), all his adored nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Duane was preceded in death by his father, Loren Gene Davis.

A celebration of life for Duane will be held at a future date. Duane will be missed by all who loved him.
