Christine Moorman has been selected as the 2022 Foundation William L. Wilkie “Marketing for a Better World” Award
The () and the American Marketing Association Foundation (F) announce Christine Moorman as the winner of the 2022 . The William L. Wilkie “Marketing for a Better World” Award honors thinkers who have significantly contributed to our understanding and appreciation for marketing’s potential to improve our world and from whose work notable advances have ensued – in the mold of Bill Wilkie of the University of Notre Dame.
Christine Moorman is the T. Austin Finch, Sr. Professor of Business Administration at the Fuqua School, Duke University. She is a leading scholar of knowledge utilization by consumers, managers, organizations, and financial markets, studied in the contexts of innovation, marketing alliances, and public policy. Published in a range of top journals, Christine has also served in leadership positions in our field’s leading journals and associations and has received numerous recognitions for her contributions. She was named the -Irwin-McGraw-Hill Distinguished Marketing Educator in 2018, named a Fellow of the in 2017, and received the 2012 Paul D. Converse Award, the 2008 Mahajan Award for Marketing Strategy, and the 2008 Distinguished Marketing Educator Award by the Academy of Marketing Science.
In bridging academia and practice, Professor Moorman is also the founder and managing director of The CMO Survey. She collects and disseminates the opinions of top marketers to predict the future of markets, track marketing excellence, and improve the value of marketing in firms and society. Most recently, Professor Moorman has served as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Marketing, instituting several impressive innovations for this mainstream forum for the field.
