GM SIG Excellence in Global Marketing Research Award
The Global Marketing SIG is pleased to announce that Stephen A. Samaha, Joshua T. Beck, and Robert W. Palmatier are the winners of the 2021 Excellence in Global Marketing Research Award. Their winning article “The Role of Culture in International Relationship Marketing” published in the Journal of Marketing (2014).
The Excellence in Global Marketing Research Award recognizes an outstanding article published in a widely recognized and highly respected refereed journal that has made a significant contribution to the literature on global marketing in the previous 10 years (2011-2020). A panel of past winners of the Global Marketing SIG award, current and past editors/co-editors of the Journal of International Marketing, and other distinguished academics appointed by the board of directors of the Global Marketing SIG selected the winner. This year’s selection committee for the Award was comprised of Bodo B. Schlegelmilch (WU Vienna University of Economics & Business and Committee Chair), Ruby Lee (Florida State University), and Peter Magnusson (University of Alabama).
The Global Marketing SIG thanks all who took the time to nominate for articles for the 2021 Excellence in Global Marketing Research Award and especially appreciates all the work the award committee put into selecting the winning article.
