The R&PSIG is pleased to announce recipients of four awards. The mentoring award recognizes outstanding mentors to doctoral students or junior scholars. This year, the recipients for the Mentoring Award are Jie Zhang (Professor of Marketing & The Harvey Sanders Fellow of Retail Management, University of Maryland), Dhruv Grewal (Toyota Professor of Commerce and Electronic Business, Babson College), and Dipayan Biswas (Frank Harvey Endowed Professor of Marketing, University of South Florida).
The doctoral student award recognizes outstanding doctoral students or recent graduates who have developed outstanding research in retailing and/or pricing. This year’s recipients are Jisu Kim (University of Washington) and Julie Verstraeten (Ghent University).
The service award honors individuals who have exceeded expectations for their rank in terms of service to retailing and/or pricing. This year’s recipients, Lauren Beitelspacher (Babson University) and Anne Roggeveen (Babson University) have demonstrated exceptional service to the fields of retailing and pricing.
The best paper award recognizes the paper(s) that have made a significant contribution to the retail or pricing literature. These papers must have been published in the previous calendar year (i.e., 2019) in an English language marketing journal. The co-recipients for the Best Paper Award are Herhausen, Kleinlercher, Verhoef, Emrich & Rudolph (2019), “Loyalty Formation for Different Customer Journey Segmentsâ€Â Journal of Retailing, and Kanuri & Andrews (2019) ,“The Unintended Consequence of Price-Based Service Recovery Incentivesâ€Â Journal of Marketing.
