Introduction
Sachin Gupta will be the next Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Marketing Research
The ÂÜÀòÉç¹ÙÍø is pleased to announce the selection of Sachin Gupta, Cornell University, as the next Editor in Chief of the Journal of Marketing Research. His three-year term formally begins on July 1, 2020. Gupta takes the reins of the Journal of Marketing Research from Rajdeep Grewal, who has served as Editor in Chief for the past four years. As editor in chief, Gupta will work with a team of co-editors, associate editors, and members of the editorial review board to review submitted manuscripts and publish high-quality research.
“I am honored to have been selected to lead the highly prestigious Journal of Marketing Research as editor in chief, and I am thankful to the selection committee for placing their trust in me,” said Gupta. “I view this appointment as a tremendous responsibility and an opportunity to advance scholarly research in marketing and to enhance the stature of JMR.”
The selection committee consisted of David W. Stewart, Loyola Marymount University (Chair as ÂÜÀòÉç¹ÙÍø Vice President of Publications); Tulin Erdem, New York University; Vanitha Swaminathan, University of Pittsburgh; Anthony Dukes, University of Southern California; Jan Heide, University of Wisconsin; Carolyn Yoon, University of Michigan; and Matt Weingarden, ÂÜÀòÉç¹ÙÍø.
The ÂÜÀòÉç¹ÙÍø is grateful for the service of the committee members. The current team is leaving the journal in an exceptionally healthy place and the ÂÜÀòÉç¹ÙÍø is appreciative of the fantastic service from soon to be departing editorial team members Rajdeep Grewal, Editor in Chief, and Rebecca Hamilton, Coeditor.
