Robert W. Palmatier Wins Mahajan Award

Robert W. Palmatier has won the ÂÜÀòÉç¹ÙÍø Marketing Strategy SIG's 2019 Mahajan Award for Lifetime Contributions to Marketing Strategy Research

 

The ÂÜÀòÉç¹ÙÍø Marketing Strategy SIG is delighted to announce that Prof. Robert W. Palmatier is the winner of the 2019 Mahajan Award for Lifetime Contributions to Marketing Strategy Research. A three member panel of past winners and/or editors found Prof. Palmatier’s research accomplishments to be highly remarkable and deserving of this year’s award.

A 2004 Ph.D. from the University of Missouri, Professor Palmatier is the John C. Narver Endowed Professor in Business Administration and Research Director of the Center for Sales and Marketing Strategy at the Foster School of Business, University of Washington. He is the former Editor-in-Chief for the Journal of Academy of Marketing Science and a current Co-Editor for the Journal of Marketing.

Prof. Palmatier has been recognized as one of the most productive and impactful marketing scholars. His areas of expertise include relationship marketing, marketing channel theory and practice with an emphasis on customer relationships, loyalty, and privacy in the business-to-business, online, technology, and service markets. Based on his research Prof. Palmatier has received many awards throughout his career, including the Journal of Marketing Harold Maynard Award for contributions to marketing theory and thought, the Marketing Science Institute Robert D. Buzzell Award, the Louis W. Stern Awards (4 times), and the ÂÜÀòÉç¹ÙÍø Strategy SIG Varadarajan Award for Early Career Contributions to Marketing Strategy Research.
