Craig Andrews Earns MASSIG Award

Craig Andrews has been selected as the ÂÜÀòÉç¹ÙÍø MASSIG?s 2019 Lifetime Achievement Award Winner
The Marketing & Society SIG of the ÂÜÀòÉç¹ÙÍø is pleased to announce that Craig Andrews, Professor and Charles H. Kellstadt Chair in Marketing at Marquette University, has been selected as MASSIG’s 2019 Lifetime Achievement Award Winner. Craig was chosen for his research which focuses on advertising, labeling and public health issues that are at the center of public policy. He has over 60 referred articles in esteemed journals such as the Journal of Public Policy & Marketing, Journal of Consumer Affairs, Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of Consumer Research, Journal of Advertising, Journal of Marketing and the American Journal of Public Health. His work has been recognized further by having his papers receive the Kinnear award for best article in the Journal of Public Policy & Marketing (JPP&M) twice (2012, 2013) in addition to being selected as a finalist for the honor multiple other years. In addition, Craig has served as JPP&M Editor and honored as Reviewer of the Year 4 times as well as serving on numerous other editorial review boards.
However significant these accomplishments are, Craig’s impact goes beyond academia. He has recently served at the U.S. Food & Drug Administration as a Social Scientist for the Center for Tobacco Products and as a Senior Scholar at the Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition. He also was a Consumer Research Specialist with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission, earning the FTC’s award for meritorious service. In short, Craig’s work makes a policy difference impacting society in ways that few academics have achieved. Craig’s substantive contribution to the field, to policy and to society epitomizes the highest ideals of ÂÜÀòÉç¹ÙÍø’s Marketing & Society SIG.
