Theme: Service management in the era of the fourth industrial revolution
(Abstract submission deadline: 5th June, 2019 –
)
With the theme, “Service Imperatives in the Era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution,” the 10th symposium in the IRSSM series attempts to explore the latest developments in the field of service management.
The symposium invites conceptual and empirical research presentations and case studies, either completed or work in progress, by both academics and practitioners. Submissions and presentations must cover both the theoretical and practical implications of the findings. Parallel tracks of refereed presentations will enable authors to get sufficient time to present their works. We aim to provide the participants with an opportunity to engage in a high quality research dialogue and obtain constructive feedback. We also endeavor to provide the delegates with a unique and memorable experience of the desert expanse and the splendor of Dubai.
Delegates are invited to present completed research projects or work in progress. Symposium attendees will include both academicians and practitioners. Submissions and presentations must therefore address both the theoretical and practical implications of the findings. Parallel tracks of refereed presentations will enable authors to obtain constructive feedback about their study.
IRSSM-10 Pre-Symposium Research Workshop
The International research symposium in service management (IRSSM-10) is not a conference per se, but a platform and environment devoted to supporting and guiding young researchers with the knowledge and strategies necessary to improve the quality of their research and academic publications. By attending IRSSM Research workshop, you will have the opportunity to network and receive guidance from highly regarded senior professors (mentors) from some of the top universities in the world. These mentors provide a hands-on research workshop on the first day of the Symposium; and, throughout the remaining days of the Symposium, they will provide you with valuable feedback and critical strategies to improve your research. It is this unique mentoring process that many young researcher attendees have found so beneficial and has led to the success of IRSSM Symposiums over the last 9 years. If you are new to research, this research workshop is a must. It will help you to create the right kinds of contacts and networks, and will guide you to improve your research and publication skills. It is a great opportunity for participants to meet and learn from editors of top journals (i.e. Journal of Services Management).
