Who Went Where?
Introduction
If you were on the job market in 2019, please fill out the annual DocSIG survey
Dear Marketing Doctoral Candidate/Graduate,
Thank you for considering being a part of this year’s Who Went Where? (WWW) survey. We are excited to be a part of this time of transition and new opportunity in your career. This report has become instrumental in guiding new job candidates in the job-search process and your participation is an essential part of understanding of the marketplace. Participation in this survey is voluntary and should take about 15 minutes. Thank you for taking the time to share details about your job-search experience with your colleagues.
This year we are encouraging all candidates who were on the job market regardless of the current status of their job search process to participate in this survey. Please consider finishing the survey even if you have not yet received a job offer, not yet accepted a job offer, or even if you have accepted a non-academic job offer. It will give future candidates a better idea of what to expect.
There are two parts to this survey. First, you will be asked to report your name, Ph.D. granting institution, and academic hiring institution. Your name and schools will be listed in the 2019 WWW report to let your colleagues know where you are headed in the fall.
The second part of the survey involves a series of questions about salary, tenure requirements, publications, and job search information. Your responses to these questions will not be associated with your name or institutions. These responses will be reported in aggregate.
