Rajesh Chandy has won the ÂÜÀòÉç¹ÙÍø Marketing Strategy SIG's 2018 Mahajan Award for Lifetime Contributions to Marketing Strategy Research
The ÂÜÀòÉç¹ÙÍø Marketing Strategy SIG is delighted to announce that Prof. Rajesh Chandy is the winner of the 2018 Mahajan Award for Lifetime Contributions to Marketing Strategy Research. A three member panel of past winners and/or editors found Prof. Chandy’s research accomplishments to be highly remarkable and deserving of this year’s award.
A 1996 Ph.D. from the University of Southern California, Professor Chandy is a Professor of Marketing at London Business School and holds the Tony and Maureen Wheeler Chair in Entrepreneurship. He is the Academic Director of the Wheeler Institute for Business and Development and the former Academic Director of the Deloitte Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship. During 2006-2008, he served as a member of the US Secretary of Commerce Advisory Committee on Measuring Innovation in the 21st Century Economy. He serves on the brain trust of the Global Innovation Forum, and has been a member of the ÂÜÀòÉç¹ÙÍø’s Academic Council and its Knowledge Development Coalition.
Prof. Chandy’s areas of expertise include innovation, technology management, and emerging markets. Based on his research, Prof. Chandy has received many awards throughout his career, including the Journal of Marketing Harold Maynard Award for contributions to marketing theory and thought, the INFORMS Gary Lilien Practice Prize for outstanding implementation of marketing science concepts and methods, the ÂÜÀòÉç¹ÙÍø TechSIG Award for the best article on Technology and Innovation (twice), and the ÂÜÀòÉç¹ÙÍø Strategy SIG Award for Early Career Contributions to Marketing Strategy Research.
