The 15th Marketing Dynamics Conference (MDC) will be held July 9-11, 2018, on the campus of Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. The Cox School of Business is proud and excited to host this prestigious event at the James M. Collins Executive Education Center.
MDC is a relatively small conference, ensuring a forum for vibrant discussion about cutting-edge research on managerially relevant dynamic marketing problems. We welcome topics that model dynamic marketing phenomena involving dynamic outcomes, actions, or processes (e.g., Bayesian learning, dynamic structural models, Hidden Markov models, time-series approaches, dynamic competitive games, dynamics in consumer learning, brand and corporate equity, customer management, or market response). Each speaker will be allocated sufficient time for the presentation and discussion. The goal is for all presentations to be of high quality, and papers will be screened and selected by a distinguished program committee. MDC differs from many other conferences because of the intense interaction between presenter and audience.
If you are interested in presenting your research, please submit an “extended abstract” of 500-750 words, including 3 to 5 keywords. Be sure to state your contribution clearly, and explain the role of dynamics in it. You should also include a short description of the methodology, and a summary of your results. Include a list of all co-authors, and indicate which co-author will be presenting at the conference. Please do not submit papers that have been already accepted for publication. Email your submissions to mdc2018@smu.edu. The submission deadline is February 19, 2018.
The program will also feature a dinner at the Perot Museum of Nature and Science, including private access to the exhibits (Food! Games! Dinosaurs!), and a gathering at a contemporary Texas beer garden. Details about registration, travel, and the program will be posted at .
In the meantime, please reserve July 9-11, 2018, on your calendars. On behalf of my colleagues at SMU, we look forward to seeing you in Dallas.
