Rajesh Sethi, Ph.D.

It is with great sadness and sorrow that I inform the marketing community of scholars of the passing of Rajesh Sethi. Rajesh was a longtime faculty member in the School of Business at Clarkson University in Potsdam, NY. Our heartfelt condolences go to his wife, Assistant Professor Anju Sethi, who is also a faculty member in the School of Business, and his family, friends and colleagues for their loss.

Dr. Rajesh Sethi was an extraordinary researcher and a highly regarded member of the marketing scholar community. His research interests were in innovation and cross-functional teams. He was a recognized expert in the area of cross-functional product development teams. He published numerous papers, presented his research at dozens of national and international conferences, and was a member of the editorial board of a major innovation journal, the Journal of Product Innovation Management. Dr. Sethi’s research won numerous awards and his work appeared in top journals, including the Journal of Marketing, Journal of Marketing Research, Organization Science, Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, Journal of Product Innovation Management, and Harvard Business Review. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Pittsburgh. His doctoral dissertation was selected as one of the top three dissertations by the ÂÜÀòÉç¹ÙÍø. Prof. R. Sethi was involved in undergraduate, graduate, and executive teaching. He taught a variety of courses, including marketing management and strategy, product and price, and marketing research. He received several teaching awards, including the Outstanding New Teacher Award.
