Some news from Consumption Markets and Culture: This year’s Best Paper Award for papers published in 2016 has been announced.
The Jury unanimously agreed that the award be given to:
Carl Yngfalk: Bio-politicizing consumption: neo-liberal consumerism and disembodiment in the food marketplace. Consumption Markets & Culture, 19(3), 275-295.
Given the strong field, the Jury also identified a paper for Honourable Mention:
Joe Deville: Debtor publics: tracking the participatory politics of consumer credit. Consumption Markets & Culture, 19(1), 38-55.
There was a group of strong papers nominated for the award this year. The jury for this year’s award was: Professor Stephen Brown (Head of Jury – and also recently joined the editorial advisory board of CMC), Professor Ashlee Humphreys and Professor Adam Arvidsson.
