This is a reminder that we continue to accept submissions for both the Food Marketing Research Symposium in June and the PhD Dissertation Competition.
The 6th annual symposium will be co-chaired with the Department of Agricultural Marketing, University of Zagreb on June 15-16, 2017 at the seaside resort in Dubrovnik, Croatia.

International food marketing doctoral candidates who have successfully defended their dissertation May 1, 2016 through April 31, 2017 are eligible for the competition.

Conference Details
There will be a welcome reception on Wednesday June 14th and two full days of conference programming on June 15th and 16th.
We will continue to host an interactive PhD student workshop for students to present and discuss their work with senior faculty.

You may send abstracts and papers for review and register online at . The submission deadline is April 1st, 2017.
The 2017 proceedings will contain only extended abstracts.

Background
The International Food Marketing Research Symposium is hosted by the Institute of Food Products Marketing in various locations around the world to provide a dedicated, regular forum where academic food marketers can meet to present their research in various stages of development to advance the academic discipline of food marketing. The research symposium welcomes multidisciplinary research from quantitative and qualitative methodologies, marketing and management perspectives, and the study of the entire food marketing process. The University of Zagreb Faculty of Agriculture (FAZ) is the leading institution in the field of agriculture and related sciences in Croatia. FAZ is continuously trying to acquire, develop and transfer knowledge in order to educate students, scientists and experts. This enables FAZ to enhance the production of food, industry, management of natural resources, and the development of the rural and urban environment, as contribution to the total quality of living in the national and global framework. FAZ has a lot of experience in project work at national and international level through scientific research projects and professional collaborations with different businesses, public and other institutions, national and regional authorities.
Department of Agricultural Marketing, as part of the FAZ, is the only department specialized for food marketing in Croatia. Teachers and researchers from the Department are involved in implementation of basic, development and applied research projects, strongly connected with agricultural producers, food industry and local governments and actively participating in professional collaboration.
