Guidelines for Science: Evidence and Checklists

Introduction

Scott Armstrong seeks input on a working paper on evidence and usefulness in science

Kesten Green and I  are  working on a review paper called “”. The basic question is “How can we increase the number of published papers that contain useful scientific findings.

Many researchers have published useful scientific papers on this topic, especially in recent years. Some of you might see that you have been cited. Now we are trying to find those whose useful research we have overlooked. We are primarily interested in experimental studies, and we have no interest in “advocacy research.” Please send us the citations for papers that you have done—or of overlooked papers by other researchers.

To date, we have received help from a number of reviewers and their changes have led to many improvements. Please let us know if you might be interested in being a reviewer on this paper — and to help share the blame.
