Editor Search at JR

Introduction

The Journal of Retailing seeks nominations or expressions of interest for the role of editor (or editors)

Search for New Editor(s) for the Journal of Retailing

The Journal of Retailing is beginning a search for a new editor (or team of two co-editors) to succeed Professors Steven Brown and Murali Mantrala. Steve and Murali have done an outstanding job of building the reputation and stature of the Journal of Retailing. In selecting a new editor(s) we will look for individuals who can continue this momentum.

Nominations or expressions of interest can be for one individual to serve as editor or for two individuals to serve as co-editors. We are looking for individuals with an established record of scholarship who have the ability to make tough, but fair decisions in a timely manner. The initial term of appointment is three years beginning in January 2018. New York University provides discretionary financial support to the editor, but there is an expectation that the individual’s institution will also help support the editor.

Nominations or expressions of interest should be submitted no later than March 15th. Individuals who are interested should submit their cv along with a brief statement of interest. Nominations of other individuals should include their affiliation and some indication of their likely interest in serving as editor. Send nominations via email to:
