Production and Operations Management Society (POMS) is an international professional organization representing the interests of POM professionals from around the world. The purposes of the Society are:

  • to extend and integrate knowledge that contributes to the improved understanding and practice of production and operations management (POM);
  • to disseminate information on POM to managers, scientists, educators, students, public and private organizations, national and local governments, and the general public; and
  • to promote the improvement of POM and its teaching in public and private manufacturing and service organizations throughout the world.

Hotel reservations:
This conference brings together faculty and graduate students in POM along with industry personnel to share academic research through paper presentations, tutorials and panel discussions. Invited industry leaders will also share their insights.

We have an exciting lineup of plenary speakers at the conference including:

Our conference hotel, Hyatt Regency Bellevue, is situated in Bellevue downtown at the heart of Seattle metropolitan area. The area is experiencing fast growth in the technology sector and is home to companies like Boeing, Amazon, Microsoft, Starbucks, Costco, T-Mobile, Expedia and Paccar. The larger Pacific Northwest area is naturally beautiful and offers a great amount of outdoor activities.

Who May Participate

Researchers working in the area of operations management (OM) from academia, government, industry and research establishments as well as students are invited to submit papers, proposals for symposia, tutorials, and/or workshops on current topics in OM.

Submission Information

Interested scholars are invited to submit abstracts of continuous text (no bullet points, no math/Greek symbols) no longer than 50 words describing their presentation. The title should be no longer than 15 words. Submission should include information about all coauthors including full name, organization, contact email.
