We are now accepting papers for the International Food Marketing Research Symposium to be held on June 13-14, 2016 at the University of Bologna.

After a very successful 2015 conference at the MAICh in Crete, Greece, we expect a large international group to join us again at the 2016 conference co-hosted by University of Bologna.

There will be a welcome reception on Sunday June 12th and two full days of conference programming on June 13th and 14th.

Due to a significant response in 2015, we will again host a PhD student workshop for students to collaborate with senior faculty on best practices in producing quality research for academic journals.

Conference Information

The Institute of Food Products Marketing hosts this two day research symposium as a forum for discussion and communication of food marketing research. This is a peer reviewed academic conference for food marketing articles and student papers. The session topics will include:

Accepted papers will be published in a Proceedings (with ISBN number).

We encourage graduate students to submit their work; the best student paper will be selected to appear in an issue of the Journal of Food Products Marketing.

A US $500 award will be given to the best paper dealing with ethical issues in the Food Industry. This award is presented by the Arrupe Center for Business Ethics At Saint Joseph’s University.

The conference fee includes conference materials, a welcome cocktail reception, lunch and coffee breaks each day, and a closing dinner at a nearby location.

Background

The International Food Marketing Research Symposium is hosted by the Institute of Food Products Marketing in various locations around the world to provide a dedicated, regular forum where academic food marketers can meet to present their research in various stages of development to advance the discipline of academic food marketing. The research symposium welcomes multidisciplinary research from quantitative and qualitative methodologies, consumer behavior and management perspectives, and the study of the entire food marketing process.
